THE FDNY FIRE FAMILY TRANSPORT FOUNDATION

We are dedicated to helping the Fire Family in its time of need by providing transportation to the families of injured, ill or deceased New York City Firefighters. We are also dedicated to promoting the greater good of the New York City Fire Department.

Every October, we host the Annual Blue Mass for Police Officers and Firefighters.
Every September, we help and support the Annual Father Mychal Judge Walk of Remembrance.

We are indebted to those who made the supreme sacrifice on 9-11-01. We honor them with the creation of Engine 343, which bears the names of the 343 New York City Firefighters, with three bronze plaques affixed to the inside of the hosebed.

The FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, supported solely through donations which we use to purchase multi-passenger vehicles. We are a 501 (c)(3) foundation; your donations are tax-deductible.

The FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation is here for you when you are in need.

BGC Partners Charity Day held annually on 9/11 donates all their profits to worthwhile charities and not for profit organizations like the FFTF. Through the efforts of Brian Sommerville a local Marine Park, Brooklyn resident our Foundation was selected as one of the charities for 2008. Brian who works for BGC, recommended our organization to Mr. Roger Campbell, Chief Administrative Officer of BGC’s North American offices. Roger also is responsible for overall planning and coordination of “Charity Day” in New York.BGC is named from the initials of B. Gerald Fitzgerald, founder along with John Fitzgerald who formed Cantor Fitzgerald Brokerage House in 1945. Cantor Fitzgerald lost 2/3rds of its workforce on 9/11/01 with the WTC attack in New York City. 658 employees were murdered that day by the cowardly terrorist attacks by Muslim Extremists along with over 2300 innocent workers and First Responders.

Paddy Concannon President of the FDNY FFTF presented an “Honor Flag” and “Challenge Coin” to Roger and Brian in gratitude of BGC’s donation. The American Flag was draped over the WTC Steel I beam that was transported down from NYC to Fort Benning, Georgia in a motorcade made up of FFTF Vans, Engine 343 on a flatbed, and motorcycles. The “Challenge Coin” was presented to the FFTF by the Commanding General of Fort Benning to commemorate the August 2009 event to place the WTC Steel at Ft. Benning. The flag and coin were place in a beautiful cherrywood case that BGC now proudly displays in their N.Y. office.

The FFTF would also like to thank Robin McKenna who was our liason on Charity Day of 9/11/2008 and Mr. Daniel LaVecchia Executive Managing Director & Global Head FX Products whose office and staff cordinated our 2/18/10 “Thank You Luncheon”.

Thanks also to our FFTF members who came to BGC on 2/18 along with Paddy- Mike Hyland,
Buddy Ducalo, Danny Prince, Monsignor John Delendick, Bob Fraumeni, Mike Galgano, Frank Ancona, and Steve Collins. Special thanks to Mike Moran L3 & Steve Orr of the Bravest Football Club with their help on Charity Day of 9/11/08. Butch Moran once again donated his time and photgraphy skills to capture this wonderful day.
Kudos to actor/director and former FDNY Engine 55 member Steve Buscemi, former NY Jet standout receiver Wayne Chrebet, actor/ drama coach Tony Lobianco, and radio personality Ken Dashow of Q104.3 FM Classic Rock station here in NYC. They donated their time and goodwill in representing our Foundation on Charity Day 9/11/08.

Sincerely,
Mike Hyland -FFTF

RALLY to PROTEST Obama Administration Decision to hold 9/11 Terror Trials in NYC

Date: Saturday, December 5th
Time: 12 PM
Location: FOLEY SQUARE PARK, near CITY HALL in Manhattan

There will be many 9/11 Families, FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, Military, Airline Personnel, Construction Workers, and Concerned Citizens attending this Protest Rally to let our collective voices be heard.

It is wrong to give Muslim Terrorists, murderers of innocent people, a trial in our Courts anywhere in the USA. They should have their War Crimes heard in a Military Court.

PLEASE WEAR YOUR FDNY INSIGNIA HATS, JACKETS OR SWEATSHIRTS TO THE RALLY.
